I work very part time, as Michaels is a second job for me. I cannot believe that they not only insist on answering the phone by the third ring, but they also expect the same even if you’re at the register. If an employee answered the phone in the middle of my transaction, I would find it rude and it would absolutely rub me the wrong way.
I’ve not witnessed it for a long time, but again, I’m not there very often… 4-8 hours a week, if anything. Is that still a requirement? Or was it just my store? I’m just curious, I can’t get over how unprofessional it is.
