Similarities between the situation with invincible and an unrelated album also published by Sony 10 years prior

TL;DR: Sony exhibited the same behavior towards MJ as they did with George Michael when he got into a legal battle with them

I don't think people point this out much but as a fan of MJ and George Michael, I've noticed that both "invincible" and George's album "Listen Without Prejudice vol 1" were both buried and intentionally neglected by Sony due to legal battles and pettiness lol.

The albums actually share a lot of similarities besides that, including: both albums sold around 7 mil and were considered poor follow-ups to gigantic albums (HIStory and faith), each of the albums had multiple moderately successful songs that weren't given music videos (Ex. MJ's "Butterflies" and George's "Praying for time"), and lastly, both albums didn't have any tours.

MJ obviously had the falling out with Sony over touring among other horrible things they put him through, But George's falling out with them isn't as well known. He had been fighting with them over the rights to his music. And so, during the legal battle, "Listen without prejudice" was abandoned by Sony and it's sequel was cancelled. From what I've seen, Sony made a similar move and abandoned invincible after MJ started exposing the company's issues.

Honestly, You could also draw comparisons to the 2 musicians lives in general including the fact that MJ passed away on George's birthday and both of the artists unfortunately passed in their early 50s, but this post is already long enough and I'm not a conspiracy girlie lol. just thought that was an odd coincidence that I don't think anyone has ever pointed out.

PS: I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to compare these 2 artists based on their musical ability or levels of fame, just drawing parallels of what they both had to go through with Sony cause I respect them both. MJ's music showed me that I should be proud of my ancestry and the music our culture has created while George taught me to accept my sexuality
