Painting bare aluminum door cards from LRB Speed.
Post Body

Initially my plan was to get the door panels powder coated a matte black, but to save some money in the short term I was curious if there were any suggestions on some good spray paints to use. The various VHT line seems decent, either the VHT Epoxy All Weather Paint or the VHT Wrinkle Finish, though I'm not sure if I want it to be that textured.

Considering this'll just be a temporary job for a few months, should I just go with good ol' plastidip so that I could easily remove it once I decide to take it to a shop?

Any other suggestions, such as a better brand of paint to use, a multistage process to follow, or even a vinyl wrap or any other DIY solutions?

And, anything I should know before painting aluminum? Such as roughing up the surface with low grit coarse sandpaper for better adhesion?

Thanks!
