My 01 daily decided to shit the bed when I took it about 2 miles down a road to hear the new exhaust I welded on and it decided to die. No stuttering just as if I turned the key off. Got it towed back to my garage and found that it has no spark or fuel to the engine. Replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, camshaft position sensor and still nothing. Tried taking the chip out of the key and taping it to the inner side of the ring around the ignition and no dice. It cranks healthy but doesn't want to start. This is my only car and I need this fixed asap. Anyone have any ideas? It's got 98,000 miles on it and only previous issues were sometimes it would start, idle for a few seconds, then die. Sometimes it would do it once or twice before staying running. Could me welding have caused a short somewhere? Killed my ECU maybe? Any tips at all would be great.
