Careers that pay over $20 an hour without college?

Post Body

Looking for solid advice because I’m 22 , male, and only making 17.50 an hour full time and it’s not enough, I’m working an office job call center thing but I’m getting really tired of this type of office work. And I don’t really have the luxury to attend college right now and shift to part time because part time pay won’t keep me afloat to sustain a studio apartment and other responsibilities. I wish I could live at my parents house rent free while attending school but it’s not a possibility in my life situation so I gotta make it on my own.

I’ve lived here in North Miami all my life and my parents came here in the 1980s and I really would like to somehow break the generational poverty I’ve lived in.

Can anyone recommend apprenticeships, jobs and careers and fields of work specifically that hire people with only a high school diploma, clean background, and speak English but with acceptable pay around the $20-25 range. Whether for a company, for the county, or the state. I’m feeling desperate and hopeless. And due to a condition I’m not a good candidate for military service.
