Hi all,
I was hoping to crowdsource some suggestions for a next bottle purchase based on what I've tried in the past and what I've liked. I've tried:
Mezcalero No. 23
- thought it was meh - actually got it as a recommendation but didn't hate it, didn't love it. Was a bit disappointing.
Vago Ensamble en Barro
Tio Rey - 64% Coyote, 24% Espadin, 12% Mexicano
I like but can only drink it every once in a while, and a little at a time, because it's so intense. Would definitely prefer some more subtle flavors.
Del Maguey Chichicapa
- Initially really loved it - as I got mostly ripe, sweet fruits, some salinity, and bright mint. Eventually it didn't do much for me, as the flavors muddled together.
El Jolgorio Tobala
- By far my absolute favorite of everything I've tried. I love the subtle and sweet flavors, and little burn.
I would definitely be interested in trying anything from 5 Sentidos, Lalocura, and Real Minero. Because the El Jolgorio is my favorite, I wonder if I should just seek out another Tobala? Any suggestions are appreciated!
