Hi Folks!
Gonna visit Mexico City for as a solo trip for 6 days from May 12 ~18, and was wondering if there were any particular recommendations or advices during these pandemic times! My Airbnb is also located in the La Romita area. I love art, and will be making it a mission to try to visit as much art museums as possible. I also love all types of street food anywhere, so if there’s a PARTICULAR booth that I absolutely must visit, would love to hear them all.
I’m still in the debate if I want to venture out somewhere outside of Mexico City, but am keeping my itinerary and plans loose in case anything pops up. I’m also pretty used to traveling alone, but because this is the first time I ventured out since the pandemic, would appreciate some wary advice if needed be especially as a solo girl.
Some of the things I already have listed out in my itinerary are ( I have also yet to check if they are open or still temporarily closed ):
- The Blue House
- Palacio de bellas artes
- Museo de arte popular
- Museo mural Diego rivera
- Museo casa estudio Diego r. and Frida k.
- Street Markets
My Spanish is very very intermediate at best, but I can understand to a certain degree and can manage with some basic requests/sentences. Also this could be a long shot, but if anybody is free, and doesn’t mind helping me explore the city, would always be happy to buy dinner drinks and make a friend in a new city. I’m also fully vaccinated, but would still try to be wary like avoiding extremely crowded/large crowds, but for anything else I’m fair game.
Thanks in advance!
