I'm thinking about signing up with MetroNet but my buddies tell me they use CGNAT. It sounds like if you want a public IP you have to pay an extra $10 a month for a "static" public IP.
I need a public IP address but it does not have to be static. A dynamic public IP address would work just fine for me. Does anyone know if they offer dynamic public IP addresses for no extra charge?
It's a little disappointing to find out that MetroNet uses CGNAT and charges more for a public IP.
Think of it as a $10 discount if you don't need a public ip, and compare the pricing to similar products and services.
