Hey all, new to the forum. I fucked up and proved competent on some things so my boss has given me some new things to look into that I am not familiar with.
My boss has recently tasked me with looking into finding a way to measure Ra on our parts. The spec we are looking to measure is 1.6 μm and 3.2 μm with a range of ± 0.1 μm.
Anyone got any models they like to use?
(Ive been looking at the mitutoyo SJ-210. Die hard mitutoyo fan here)
Ive got about 5k to work with to set this up. I ordered some comparator blocks so I can check my own accuracy and see where I am fucking up once I get set up.
I’ve got a grade AA granite block to work with.
