I'm a family doctor who has a video game themed family practice and this is the Metroid corner of the "Retro" game room.

The Omega Cannon in the Metroid Corner

A really cool patient made me the 3D printed Omega Cannon. I'm kind of obsessed with it. Its so incredibly well made. I figured I should post it here, and explain sort of why a doctors office has an omega cannon.
I"m an HIV specialist and regular old family physician. I take care of a lot of LGBTQ people, and also tend to see a lot of nerds like me. When I started my practice a few years ago, I decided to make each of the rooms in the office themed around a different video game series or topic that I liked. The office is basically full of video game art, cool lighting, cats (my cat has a Guinness World Record and works at the office as a therapy cat) and cool rocks. Also we provide excellent medical care too if our google reviews are to be believed.
Basically, while patients wait to be seen, they can play some video games on the arcade machine in the lobby, or on snes classics in each room. If not in the mood for games, they can stream shows on their favorite streaming services.
So far we've got:
Portal
Hyrule
Post-Apocalypse (games like resident evil, the last of us, nier, HZD, fallout, bioshock)
The Mushroom Kingdom
RPG games
Anime
And retro!
I thought the subreddit might appreciate the Omega Cannon as much as I do. =)
(Yes I know dread isn't retro, but Samus is nearly as old as me so she sorta counts!)
