Metro says my Phone cannot be connected & to go to a Store for them to assist (IPHONE 7 UNLOCKED)

long story short. I bought a used iphone 7 32gb from offerup. verified the IMEI as being unlocked & not tied to any carrier and bought it. However now When I call metro the first time, they were saying I need to bring the phone into to store to connect and now I called they said my phone is not unlocked. I have a paid software that confirms its not blacklisted and it is indeed unlocked. Anyone have any similar issues? any tips to get my phone connected?
