In an article with the headline NFL Installing Hawk-Eye (XFL Technology) on a website called Barstool Sports, writer Billy Football discusses the accuracy and reliability of video technology used for tracking balls to determine the eligibility of goals, points, etc.
On the accuracy of the system he writes:
Some say that Hawk-eye can track the ball within 5 millimeters but that is the metric system so I do not take that too seriously.
Would he be happier if the accuracy was stated as 1/4"? (6.35 mm)
