Hi all -- This is just a quick reminder that in using reddit and all of it's associated subreddits, that while reddit is a pretty open website, it does have several rules that may be found in a link at the bottom of every page or in the link here:
I would like to draw attention to rule #3 "Don't post personal information," which includes but is not limited to the posting of other redditors' names, addresses, phone numbers, Facebook/LinkedIn pages, or any real-life details of another user. This rule has been put in place by the larger reddit team as this forum is publicly viewable to anyone who has an internet connection.
We do not need or want to have anyone be hurt in real-life, because their personal information is being used in a manner that they cannot control.
I realize that the metrology community is tight knit and that many of us belong to the same email list servers, read and comment on the same blogs, work for the same employers, have befriended each other on Facebook or LinkedIn and so on. But please, if you do know the personal details of another user, respect that information and keep it contained within those platforms and off of reddit.
Thank you much for your attention & enjoy your weekend. /u/metrication
