The Georgia Straight, Vancouver, British Columbia

A Canadian wants to know what term has replaced "mileage" in metric countries.

This one of the more trivial objections to the metric system, like the one that the names of the units are no good for poetry.

EDIT: Maybe not just "mileage", but other measurement-based words and expressions such as "milestones", "footage", or "going the extra mile".
