I started methadone in July 2020 and before then I never had an issue with red or blotchy skin. I've always had porcelain white skin and I tan very well. Even all those years on heroin my complexion was the same. I've never had to wear makeup to cover my skin but now I'm red like I'm sunburnt all the time. It's very strange.
On my arms specifically it's on top I can almost draw a line where it starts. My guess has been bc my veins were so damaged before from IV and I'm so overweight now with a lot of edema and poor blood flow, so maybe I have blood moving through survive veins and capillaries more now than before. It's prominent on my face and chest too.
All I can think is methadone is the difference in this time period.
Anyone else had this happen?
