My fellow Rejects,

I'm in a heartbreaking, bad mental spot tonight. My 12yo dachshund is entering the gates to the Rainbow Bridge. I've known it was coming, just didn't think it would be this soon, and knowing isn't making it any easier. He's scared and lost, I can read that much from him and he's not registering any physical pain, just the scared confusion/lost thing. My mental health can't deal with this rn. I'm going to a dark lonely place. I already told him that no one would be mad at him for going ahead and crossing, that he didn't need to make himself suffer for us to cling to his physical form.

This hurts so bad, why are the best taken away so fast?
