I'll preface my post with this: I don't get a lot of time to search for new music, so I'm usually pretty out of the loop when it comes to bands that aren't one of the few staples I keep on repeat. That used to be AILD for a long time, then it was Breakdown of Sanity, Phinehas, and for the past year or so it was ERRA (mostly Augment and Moments of Clarity).
Sometimes I'm in the mood for something not quite as intense, though. I'll go back to the late 90s/early 2000s rock I grew up with, but that's just not quite intense enough. I need something in between.
I sort of found what I was looking for with the latest Wovenwar album and a couple of Beartooth songs I could get into, but in the limited searching I've been able to do I haven't found much else.
So I'm looking for suggestions kinda along these lines:
* A mix of harsh and clean vocals, with minimal screaming (not that I don't like it, I've just got that covered in other playlists)
* Decent, solid instrumentals that aren't over the top. I usually love technical riffs and sick guitar solos, but I always end up picking apart what I listen to and focusing on those pieces. So I guess what I'm looking for is just solid songs as a whole.
Some examples that I've found so far that I'm into:
* Wovenwar - Confession
* Wovenwar - Lines in the Sand
* Beartooth - Aggressive
* Heart of a Coward - Hollow
* Five Finger Death Punch - Bad Company (Cover)
* Motionless in White - Reincarnate
I know a lot of bands vary their style from song to song too, so individual song recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks for the help!
