Anyone else miss 00's metalcore(the real metalcore)? I am talking about stuff like:
Avenged Sevenfold's - Waking the Fallen
Trivium's - Ascendancy, Shogun and also Sin and the Sentence(although that's 2010's)
Bullet for my Valentine's - Poison and The Self Titled latest album(again not 00's but still)
There's more, but I think it's clear what I mean by these examples! To me these albums shaped my taste in music a lot, and not just in metal/rock. The dynamic between screaming/singing and aggressive riffs/beautiful melodies were not perfect(nothing ever is!) but they got it the closest I think! Especially since the "angry" parts were usually logical in the context of the song making them feel organic and natural.
I am not saying in any way that there is no good new metalcore, but it seems to much different to me, at least. Maybe I am crazy, but maybe someone else misses that?
