Best metal for casting weapons and tools?

Recently I have gotten really into the idea of casting metal. I got a knife and wanted to start collecting, and the idea of creating my own sounded like a fun hobby.
I'm curious as to some good metals for weapon casting. These would be more for display, but I would also like things that could be functional as well. Mainly looking at doing knives, daggers, and small axes.
