From Overwatch league talent Jaws, explains issues within mercy’s kit. He outlines how the current (meta/best) mercy play style is to stick with a dps damage boost them and not heal anyone else, then also being able to resurrect 20% of the team. Undoing work from the other team and allowing players to not be punished for their mistakes. He continues on his earlier point of blue bean and mentions how all damage amplifying abilities that are not an ultimate are an issue, but particularly mercy’s. SOLUTIONS jaws says that to remove a lot of frustration and problems from the kit moving res to the ultimate. To solve damage boost he says a system where blue beam is charged up after healing and used up (similar to Moria’s heal) would be easier to balance and have in the game

As a phara main I’ve had some great times with a mercy pocket and some incredible mercy’s I’ve played with, but I would also love to see the devs be able to balance phara without having to consider mercy
