Gem Spots?

Hello everyone, I have been living in Merced for 6 years and I’ll admit that I haven’t really get to explore as much. Is there any cool/gem spots that you go for scenic view / take photos? I want to practice photography, but not sure where to go
I’m willing to travel to Livingston, Atwater, Planada, Lake Don Pedro, etc. Any suggestions? :)
