I feel horrible selling on Mercari now but I don’t really know how to sell anywhere else ( kind of a rant ? )

Post Body

So I started selling in order to declutter my doll and squishmallow collection, and decided I’d use the money to take my friend out to see our favorite artist and just have a great night away from our troubles. I started on WhatNot, but I rarely sell anything, so I started selling on Mercari at the same time. It’s been going well, but because of the update, I feel horrible selling on there because I know how bad the pricing will be. I wanted to give the things I’ve loved to someone else who will love them, while also getting some money back, but now they’ll be spending more than what i would even spend, and my selling will also go down because people won’t buy because of how high the cost is. I try to keep my prices reasonable but with the new rates, a $20 doll might cost someone $30-40 now. I bought on there for a while and I even looked to see how much something small might cost me. A $4 doll item plus shipping plus the new rates was $12-$15. That’s insane. I had someone message me asking if I could sell something that was $30 ( cost me $22 but is valuable to me and hard to part with unless I’m getting a lot from it ) for $20, and it broke my heart to tell them no. I’m so confused as to what to do. I don’t know how eBay works, and there’s hardly any stores to sell my stuff to around here. Any help is greatly appreciated. I’m nervous to ask my family for advice, but I might have to.
