UPS vs the dread extra 1-2 oz

Post Body

I have an item that weighs 1.7 lbs. Thinking I was rounding up reasonably to 2lbs for the packaging weight, I didn’t think much of it, and now it’s sold.

Unfortunately, when I did start my packaging, the smallest box without breaking the item made the weight 2.066 lbs.

I’ve had past experiences with USPS overcharging for being an ounce or two off, but this will be my first time with UPS.

How strict are they on ounces and what could be the potential upcharge?

TIA
