approved return without any pics or chance to respond?

ive always when either returning or being returned been able to see or send pics and see or send the reason for the return
yesterday i was sent a notification that a return was approved. i looked into it and an item was reprted as "not as described" but i have no pics, there was no response period. they could of taken a pic of anything and sais its what they got. any advice?
support told me to turn notifications on. well they were on i just never got anything in the matter and buyer isnt saying anything
