Post Body

We have a young child (9 years old) that was getting to the point of violence at home due to mental illness and possibly autism of some sort that we were out of local options and were instructed to begin taking him to the ER, and then finally making police reports every time he was violent toward a family member. He has no apparent control over these triggers and they are things that we literally cannot find ways to work around. Multiple therapists, in home, community attempts. He's been to a acute inhouse location several times and then referred to a state group home where he's been for about 9 months. Longer than most anyone else stays, but now has been getting to the violent point there where their staff has been getting attacked and the other children are in danger. Hed been sent back to the acute location twice now since and has threatened to continue acting out (now it IS more attitude on top of the other) and was being referred to a place in Georgia or Tennessee I believe? Theyve been having to file incident reports quite regularly and with referrals from every location that he's been at, the one location that seemed to be the only option in Georgia denied him based on the POSSIBLE autism prognosis. There has been no testing and no formal diagnosis as of this point. Seems that they shouldnt be able to deny on this, but they do say they're not equipped for that. The promise has been that he would not return home until he was deemed safe to himself and dotheds but now not only has funding assistance run out but the group home is looking at refusing re-entry and it's possible that we are expected to bring him back into our home within the next week or so.
I can't see doing this and am petrified over putting our other children back into this situation.
I'm also worried about CPS removing our other children being a dangerous living situation as well if he is sent home. I have no idea what options we have.... I can't lose my other children to this, and not to mention the abuse we'd be putting ourselves into and the danger he would be to himself even. Does ANYONE have any insight here? Please no judgement, criticism or similar... We know where we are at, we know our danger..but we need help. Real help. Thank you ...
