came across this tiktok video that said "things I wished I knew at 22". One of the lists included "happiness is a choice". I feel like this phrase is so overused to a point that we just say it for the sake of saying it. Is happiness really a choice? What even is the essence of being truly happy when you have mental health issues.
I am an optimist, and I prefer looking at things half-full, but I'm not a completely happy person because although I will choose to be happy nonetheless, sadness is inevitable.
edit: Idk if I am making sense but if you get it, you get it.
