Hi! My partner has been dealing with depression and grief lately and while I do know that I can't heal her or make the depression go away. I want to know what steps I can take to hopefully ease some of the burden without her feeling that I want to control her? I love her and I want to do as much as I can to atleast relieve some of it.
And how do I prepare myself for the strong possibility that I might not be able to help at all? It's been increasingly painful to watch her go through it and all I can do is sit beside her and offer sympathetic words. How do I deal with feelings of helplessness?
