I was thinking of various affairs of various politicians, and maybe it is a cultural shift, but I compare Mark Sanford and his hikes into the woods (sorry couldn't help it) with Lauren Boebert and Kristi Norm and it seems like the last two were swept under the rug, whereas Sanford got shredded. I know Trump in theory could be included in this, but most the stuff happened before he came into office. Also as a counter point there was the whole Katie Hill thing, but she was a Democrat, which is an interesting outlier.
Do you see any reason to this? Outside Katie Hill it seems like less of a fuss is made out of female politicians having affairs. Willing to hear counterpoints.
