Hi friends, long story short. I was dating, and then married (I know an idiot move overall) to a woman I have known for a few years and dated for a while. She is from Colombia, and seems pretty decent (we have talked about political correctness and thinks it is bullshit). We compromised on when we have kids having them go to Montessori then being homeschooled (if you have any negative info on Montessori I am all ears but don't hear anything and our state has a voucher program so not as worried about the cost), but outside that we are pretty much on the same page. I own my own house, and plan to work out an agreement for any future investments to be 50/50 (such as out future place in Colombia). I might work on keeping some emergency money, but beyond that I am not sure if there is anything else I can do. I eventually want to go back to the old country but that will take time and we were married in her country, if that makes any difference.
