After exhausting all options pre peri (including an ablation - all that's left to try is a hysterectomy), I'd resigned myself to suffer through my 10-12 day long periods and 2-4 days of hell cramps at the end of each one. I've now been in Peri for at least one year, maybe two, and I figured I'd ride it out until full menopause since I'd rather not get a hysterectomy.
Welp, in the last few months, my period has managed to become even worse. I now get abruptly hit with nausea-inducing cramps within the first couple of days for 1-2 days, AND I still get the painful joy of fetal-position-to-keep-my-sanity cramps at the end for 2-4 days. I'm in day 4 of my period rn and am feeling the razor pain of a mega flow of red rage that just started a few hours ago.
All my check ups continue to show I'm generally healthy and a-ok, so all signs point to peri.
Just.... UGH please tell me I'm not the only one birthing angry jellyfish at the beginning and end of a single period. 😩
