The nurse asked if I was still having regular periods.
Post Body

Three days ago I (47) woke up at 6:30 am and had to pee. I knew it felt different and immediately after I got back into bed I had to pee again. Ugh...UTI! I drank cranberry concentrate for 2 days and still felt a little weird down there so went to the clinic yesterday morning.

The nurse asked when the first day of my last cycle was quickly followed by "Are you still having regular periods?". Do I look that old? Omg?! I have a hot 34 yr old lover so I not too insecure but damn lady! Don't ask questions like that!😂

It appears I flushed the UTI out bc I don't have one but I still feel a little weird down there and I'm suspecting this is some kind of Peri thing. My orgasms are different, the sensation is different down there too.

I have a gyno appt today and we're going to talk about HRT. I'm thinking estrogen cream? I read some comment somewhere that it's super messy and kind of gross. Any ladies can fill me in on what they've experienced?

Oh and why I didn't wait to get the UTI looked at today when I had a standing appt and wasted 4 hrs at the walk in clinic yesterday. I blame the peri meno brain. 🙄

Edit to add: I know this is a normal and good question that she asked. I guess my humor about it didn't translate and I didn't clarify that it is indeed a legitimate question. I thought it was more funny than offensive.

I really wish there was a sarcasm font.

And as far as getting old, I am having a hard time with that and fighting it hard. I know it's gonna happen but I want to prevent the awful as much as I can.

I will order some test strips! Great idea.
