Estrogen patches and heat do not mix!

Been on the Dotti estrogen patch since January and while it is working, it's felt inconsistent. I was recently poking around to see if there's any issues with swimming in the ocean with the patch and learned that hot water and/or hot weather can speed up the distribution of the estrogen resulting in a flood of it too soon.
Damn. I love a hot, hot bath. And now I can only have one twice a week when it's time to change the patch. I hate how even the simply things are ripped away.
