When did you need a hearing aid?
Post Body

I am relatively new to all of this, although I have been experiencing symptoms (which I did not know were related to Ménière’s) for years. Mercifully, I seldom have severe vertigo and nausea (although I do occasionally), but my ear congestion, feedback, and reduced hearing is almost constant these days. I am starting to be embarrassed, asking people to repeat themselves all the time, and I think people are getting annoyed with me asking all the time. I am not seeing my ENT for about four weeks, but I’m wondering at what point can I actually do something to address the hearing issues? Can the roaring sound somehow be cancelled out? Is it possible to actually improve hearing in my affected ear? As I said, still new to all of this, so not even sure if I’m asking reasonable questions.
