I’m gonna be honest here…I was pretty disappointed by the documentary. They pushed the “this document is in their own voice” agenda so much, but there was barely anything told by the brothers themselves. I kept waiting for their voices, but instead we were fed dumb commentary from Pam, who I think should not have been in it at all. We got so much background info that was already common knowledge. The last part was the only part that really focuses on them, and I wish that is how the whole documentary was told. I cried several times just listening to the last 5 minutes, and honestly zoned out through most of the rest. The last couple minutes of their voices was so raw and emotional, and I strongly believe that they should have narrated the entire thing. Who cares about lawyers and reporters and DAs. I so wish the brothers waited til they’re out of prison to tell their stories themselves in their own way rather than by directors who orchestrate elaborate documentaries for their audiences. Lowkey I would be happy with a dark screen and all 20 hours of alleged interviews conducted with them for this documentary.
