I’m probably 100% wrong about this, so don't take this for gospel, but a small part of me wonders if Gascón is leaning in the direction of supporting a resentencing but just can't say it yet and hasn't yet made his final decision. I remember an article (later deleted) came out discussing how he was going to announce his support for resentencing. That was likely leaked because the journalist misunderstood it or got the wrong information. But I also wonder how a journalist could get that so wrong. It makes me question if the journalist heard something pretty specific about what’s happening behind the scenes that hasn’t been made public yet, ultimately informing that information they shared. Maybe I'm just being delusional though 😂
