Bedens brook was a private club that the Menendez brothers were affiliated with. This club features a golf course, a dining hall, a clubhouse, a pool, and tennis courts. Entrance into this club has always been an elusive endeavor and often took having to get an invite from a network of affluent existing members. Jose likely gained his invitation through connections he made within the film industry. Though I don’t have them on hand, many of the young/teenage photos of Erik and Lyle playing tennis were captured here. As of today, Bedens brook still exists and sits within the woods of Skillman, NJ. I visited this court and took this photo of the sign (circa 2021). The courts that brothers played on still exist as well and are surrounded by densely packed decorative shrubs so many of the photos I took are not decent enough to post.
