People (especially post this second wave of Menendez awareness) constantly talk about the brothers' contributions in prison. I wanted to show you their friends and some of the things they’ve been doing.

I found this letter addressed to a fellow inmate about Lyle (attached on top) and thought i’d share that the brothers are doing well in prison.

Occasionally during our time together, other visitors sneak a glance at Lyle.”

However the most notable friendship the brothers have in prison is indisputably rapper X-Raided Anerae VeShaugn Brown.

X-Raided was a rapper whose trial was close to the boys he was involved in a gang and was charged with 1st degree murder in 1996. Though he was let out in 2017. “Brown qualified to have his case reviewed as a youthful offender when a new California law was passed based on scientific research that says a brain is not fully developed until the age of 25.”

After his release X-Raided went on podcasts talking about his friendship with Lyle and Erik stating the mentored him on stocks and real estate. That they first embraced him. The video is in the comments. It is so worth a watch. Stating that Lyle mentored him in the truest sense of the word.

The idea is to beautify the prison and make it more homey to stimulate the outside world to prepare other inmates for release. As for Rand he mentioned in his article (listed above): “Both Menendez brothers are helping others. Lyle is a passionate activist for prison reform and served as head of the inmate government for 15 years at Mule Creek. Erik created a hospice program at the jail and leads a weekly group in meditation. Both brothers have recently started to study ASL – American Sign Language. Lyle is working on a project to have murals painted on some of the stark prison walls. Art students from San Diego State have volunteered to create the design. Lyle is hoping a small outdoor recreation area will be installed with Astroturf and some simple landscaping. The paint and supplies are being donated by Home Depot.”] This took a min to research but you can DM if you have any questions or research things you want me to explain.
