I just wondered if there is anyone that has done a deep dive that can answer a few questions about the trial.
This case has really shaken me and I couldn't sleep and stayed up reading trial transcripts.
First thing is, I saw a clip on tik tok of Pam, I think, saying that sex has a specific noise so why did noone else hear it. I also saw an article where a juror said they didn't believe the sexual abuse could have happened to the extent claimed because noone heard anything.
But then I've seen multiple clips where Cousins talk about having to stay away from the room no matter what they heard. And the whole thing about Erik being too sick to come to dinner after being in the room with Jose. So I don't really understand the noone heard anything thing. Is it just that in the second trial these family members couldn't testify?
The other thing was when Erik was being cross examined , he keeps being pushed to name anyone that saw physical abuse or sexual abuse, and says he can't name anyone. But again I've seen lots of clips of family members talking about witnessing physical abuse. And I think from memory starts Erik starts to say something along the lines of are you really saying I have no witnesses when you barred them and the lawyer objects. So if I'm understanding this right the prosecution make it seem like there were never any witnesses to abuse by questioning Erik repeatedly on this - but really they know there are witnesses but he's just not allowed to name them? It seems bizarre and unfair if so.
