I never liked a single interview she’s ever done. She was ALWAYS very argumentative in ever single interview she ever did. I even despised her on The View. I’ve always found her an extremely rude interviewer and I wish Diane Sawyer had interviewed the brothers. Diane is able to remain impartial in EVERY interview. EVEN her interview with CHARLES MANSON she conveys subtle emotion, but she doesn’t go off the rails and act like Barbra. Had this happened years later, Katie Couric would have done a phenomenal interview.

Barbra’s conduct was grossly unprofessional. She was a journalist and acted like the prosecutors. In the segment prior to the interview, it is very clear that she believes the money motive, then says ‘her job is not to make anyone believe it was for money or that they were abused’. Yet she so VERY clearly shows that she believes the former and strongly urges everyone else to as well. She sets the interview up in the most bias way, then makes it abundantly clear from the second it starts that she intends to not give any credence to their claims OR the claims of their relatives. She even says “No relatives corroborated their stories” before the interview starts which is factually incorrect, because Andy Cano AND their cousin Diane did at trial. Her questions were VERY charged and it wasn’t needed considering they were already convicted. She seemed to relish in the idea of them being separated (they hadn’t been yet). She had NO reason to interview them other than the amount of viewers and money she would get from it. There’s a point where Erik says he was just a normal kid and she says: “NORMAL KID?! YOU KILLED YOUR PARENTS!” mind you…she had an affair with a married US Senator and destroyed a family. The irony.
