I'd recommend being there by 1.00 to get your sh*t together and heard the pre-ride briefing and they'd likely be on the road inside half a hour from then.

Its also promoted as 'As bare as you dare' so if you need to cover up (some bits!) that's totally acceptable too. If you aren't the fittest, or haven't been on a bike for a while, it's a cruisy ride not a race so you won't struggle.

Now I'm no anti cars or pro bike required bloke so if you want to be fussy I don't necessarily fully agree with all their principles but I am a nudist/naturist and have done a few of these rides. My thinking, I'm happy to support their numbers and when else can I get my gear off and get around Melbourne nude for a few hours knowing that it is condoned by the authorities and theres no hassles.

If you are camera shy, this event probably isn't for you, unless you want to disguise your face (sunnies or mask maybe) because the ride gets a lot of attention from passersby and the traffic going the other way.

These have been some of the funnest (is that a word) days of my life, maybe funniest is better. After the initial anxiety, I'd forgotten any fears inside 10 minutes and I don't think I have grinned and laughed as much anywhere short of a comedy show or a party.
