A sense of nihilism and intrusive thoughts

Post Body

Been in a bit of a mental funk the past 2 weeks and I do blame part of it on me watching too much of the news and being in touch with current events.

Has anyone had any random intrusive thoughts where you just want to act on impulse?

I.e. Last week I had someone treat my colleague badly at work and the first thought that came to mind was slapping the guy and telling him to watch his manners. Granted, the professional conduct kicked in after and things went smoothly after de-escalating.

Edit: it was nice reading through everyone's comments, in a better head space now. Have a good weekend!
