I'm F41 focusing on melasma care only for the last 6-7 years and neglecting the aging part ; so i went to dermatologist today, and this is what came out of the consultation. Note. I'm currently in Europe so not sure these creams are known in the US so i wrote the main ingredients :)
For 2 months and to renew after 6 months
// KLINGMAN CREAM - to boost the spots' fading quickly. Apply very small dose on the spots 1 night on 3 (even less if red skin) ING. Retinoic acid 0.1% | Vit C 3% | HQ 5% | Triamcinolone 0.01% | Effasun Hydroquin qsp 10g
// ENEOMEY STIM RENEW 15 - light peeling to apply 2 to 3 nights per week on full face. ING. Glycolic acid 15% It also exists in 8% for 25-40 yo or 30% for 55 yo
After 2 months
//ENEOMEY DAYLIGHT C20 - antioxidant anti dark spots to activate elasticity and tone. To apply every morning, as a serum on whole face as daily care for wrinkles and melasma ING. Ascorbosilane C 20% | Glycolic acid 6% | Phytic acid 2% | Vit A & E complex
//SUNSCREEN - AVENE INTENSE PROTECT 50 (it has filter against blue light). But i'm concerned as it's not a mineral one, i only realized this after getting back home :/
// MOISTURIZER (any fav one! ) As i have very sensitive skin he told me that moisturizing with any basic cream 5 to 10 times a day is the key, Nivea works perfectly, no need fancy expensive luxury brand. From right after shower / face wash to multiple times during the day. After serum (if any) but the sunscreen can go on top or before, it doesn't matter... I didn't ask for the makeup as I'm trying to not use any during the day (my ego currently hates me lol!)
As it's extremely hot / summer now, i will start my program in a few weeks and will be happy to provide a follow-up with photos!
Voilà !
