I know 27M is going to drastically cut down my number of responses, but oh well. I've found a lot of the time messaging people on here, the conversation dies very quickly as they make very brief responses - I hope this post goes some way to showing I won't do that if you choose to message!

So let's begin: I'm a 27 year old guy from London in the UK. I went through a fairly rough breakup about 3 months ago, and have been looking to be much more social since and want to make new friends. Doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, neither or both, or somewhere in between, I just want to know more people (though I have found lately that I do tend to have deeper friendships with women than men)! Despite the breakup being rough, I actually now feel better than I have in years for the most part, so I'm not going to need to turn to you for much emotional support - in fact, I'm happy to provide some if you need it. I'm not looking for anything more than friendship, though if something develops over time I'm not going to rule anything out if the vibe is right. But please keep it SFW, at least unless we develop a deeper bond. I'm happy to speak with anyone regardless of location, but I would ideally like to meet in person eventually, so bonus points if you're in or close to London.

Anyway, about me - like most people, I like movies, TV shows, music and video games. As this is common to most people, I won't dwell on it too long, but my favourites of each are:

• Movies: The Prestige, Interstellar, The Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings.

• TV Shows: Person of Interest, Bojack Horseman, Mr. Robot, The Boys, The Handmaid's Tale.

• Music: Actually only really starting getting into music now somehow! But my favourite artists are Pink Floyd, Eminem, Oasis and Queen. If you have any suggestions here, I'd be keen to hear them!

• Video Games: Final Fantasy (most, but particularly 7, 9, 10 and 12), God of War (I cannot wait for Ragnarok!), Witcher 3 and Persona. I've also been playing a frankly embarrassing amount of Fall Guys recently.

Onto the slightly more interesting stuff. While I don't do it often, I absolutely love archery when I have a chance to do it. I've started gymming quite regularly which I enjoy, and I'm wanting to get into more sports shortly, specifically squash, football and bouldering. I've been considering picking up a martial art for years now - maybe 2022 is the year! I'm also going to start visiting more of the museums, galleries and other free attractions in London soon as this all interests me. I play (and love) DND, and enjoy playing board games (though am put off ones that are super complicated and take hours to learn the rules). I enjoy fairly deep conversations on philosophy, physics, politics and economics for those who are into those things, but I'm not going to bring them into random conversations if you aren't into it. For those for whom it is relevant, politically I identify as very left-wing, but I'm open to conversation with anybody, and will happily debate those with alternative viewpoints if you want to.

I also do enjoy occasionally doing drugs (I know this will put some people off so I want to be upfront about it). Specifically, I enjoy psychedelics like LSD and mushrooms for introspective purposes, and like to occasionally do MDMA with friends to deepen my bonds with them. Can't do the latter for a while though as I recently started on SSRIs due to my breakup.

I love animals, and have a lot of pets (a dog, three corn snakes, and a giant African snail). I am more of a dog person, but cats are lovely too. I'd love to get one, but my dog is way too excitable and would probably hurt one while trying to play! I very well may send you cute dog photos if we get to chatting...

For work, I run my own small business and have since 2016. Unfortunately, a combination of Brexit and covid has slowed it down a lot, so I'm looking for something new.
