Hi, I'm Jason, 37 in EST time zone. I'm looking to meet new people as I have very few people in my social network. I don't really like social media either so I have very few people to talk to.
I studied and worked as a computer engineer, designing control systems for power plants, but currently I am disabled, so I have a TON of free time. I suffer from a plethora of mental illnesses and would like to meet someone that can understand my struggles. I am also a very open person and prone to oversharing and making myself vulnerable way too easily.
I play a lot of video games (all kinds, but I'm not a fan of FPS like COD) and would love someone to play Baldur's Gate 3 or something else with. I also read a lot, mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy, although I have really gotten into LitRPG.
I'm a huge nerd and love people that sit outside of "normal", goths, emo, neurodivergent, nerd, geeks etc. I also am a little emotionally stunted and live and feel like I am still in my 20s. I think I relate to younger people better because I don't have the typical mindset or lifestyle of a typical mid 30s guy.
Also I'm overweight and not all that attractive. I'll send a pic if you want, but don't bother messaging me if you're gonna ghost after you see me, it's a waste of time.
Also I'm human and not asexual, so I'm open to having fun, but It's not really what I'm after, so if you open with that kind of stuff I probably won't be interested.
I'll be honest, I'm close to giving up because everyone I talk to either tries to scam me, sell me their smut or ghosts me. Are there any real and genuine people on Reddit?
