Allow me to set up the scene!

We met on an app called Reddit, (ironic right) we’ve been talking for a while, daily phone calls, good morning texts, the whole 9!

You get invited to a suit and tie event at an address that you’re not familiar with. The invitation instructs that you bring a plus one “preferably a date”

We haven’t met yet and so you figure, “Hey, we haven’t met yet, this would be the perfect chance to do so!”

So you invite me, you tell me get in my Sunday's best and when I ask what’s the occasion you say it’s a surprise. So I play along.

You get picked up first, 2 roses are next to you. One for you and the other for your beautiful date! Then, I’m picked up in the same black limo where im greeted by the man I’ve spent basically every day talking to.

You hand me the rose and I blush before thanking you. We compliment each other, and exchange in pleasantries before the limo driver clears his throat and says, “Pardon the intrusion but we must be going.”

You open the door for me and I try to ask you more questions but you’re also kept in the dark but you want me to believe that this was all your idea so you just keep your answers short and sweet. We are taken to a mansion that sits taller and wider than anything we’ve ever seen!

We’re not alone, there are four other couples there with us.

All of them are dressed in their finest, roses in hand, and smiles on their faces.

We all meet one another and that’s when a woman (we’ll call her The Moderator) steps out of the large double doors and says, “Redditors welcome!! We’re so happy that you can join us! You have all been carefully selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity! Look to the left and to the right of you, only one couple will have the chance to walk away not only with prize money but also a……..”

The Moderator freezes suddenly……

You’ll have to tell me what happens next! Also tell me that isn’t a great first date! It definitely beats dinner and a movie! Ok I’ve taken up enough of your time but if you’re curious to know more about me I have a bio written that’s available for all to see!
