Posting on these subs in an attempt to find someone reminds of of the "Cause and Effect" episode of The Next Generation.
Where you end up repeating the same experience over and over.

I try to engage in conversation.
The person either ghosts or the conversation goes nowhere beyond the "So, any plans for today" or "Tell me about you" type of boring chat.
To quote one of my favorite Genesis songs: there must be some other way.
