45m, looking to make a friend or two

Hi there! How was 2023 for you? Lousy? Yeah me too. Wanna talk about it, ot talk about other stuff so you don't think about it?

Like I said, 2023 was a lousy year in a LOT of ways for me. So much so that I pretty much hid from the world. I'm recovering, but I still don't go out very much. The bar scene really isn't my thing, and social events? Well, I live in a very rural area, so they are few and far between. So why not try on here? Ok, it's not getting out and being social, but it's a step in the right direction, at least.

So about me? Very blue collar(I'd go so far as to say no collar). I've traveled, but wouldn't say I'm incredibly cultured. I prefer things simple. I enjoy hiking, animals, photography, video games, TV shows and movies. If you like movies, shows, and music from the 80's and 90's? We'll get along great! Even if not, maybe there are some things you could get me interested in! Who knows?

What I'm looking for? Honestly just someone to talk to. I'm introverted, largely due to experiences I had growing up. Part if that is on me too, though, so I also could say I'm looking to break out of my comfort zone a little bit.
