Long time meditation - is the past dead?
Post Body

Is one of the affects of meditation for you a great level of detachment? From the end of a 12 year relationship, to my fathers death, to not being able to see my partner for 2 months because of the quarantine, I know these things are real, but I am so unattached to them that I don’t (care). Don’t care isn’t the exact term but unattached seems a bit.

Anyway, is this an effect of meditation for the past 15 years, or my time as a Buddhist, or just some weird echo of the drug abuse I practiced long ago. What is your current experience with the past?

(On an interesting note, there is one (event) that did stick with me much longer than others, which just adds to my confusion)
