Tin gaps in thinking?
Post Body

I have been meditating or at least trying since the beginning of this year. I don’t know if this is mindfulness what I am experiencing but I am able to for a split second experience a gap of no thought. This happens through the day when I purposely direct my attention to whatever I am doing. The gap is minute I cannot even quantify it but it must be a millisecond. When I experience this I feel this intense feeling of joy but only for that period. Is this something that anyone else has felt or is it something I am just imagining? I thought meditation or mindfulness was about not stopping thinking but more about watching your thoughts without judgment? If this is the case then why do I feel this miniscule feeling of joy when It appears I am not actually thinking? Hope this makes sense?
