I have not been meditating for long, I started in the New Year & although I try to meditate every night I do not manage it. I manage on average 5 nights per week & only for about 5 minutes at a time.
What I have recently noticed is that a issue or problem comes into my head & normally I would dwell on it & work myself up but strangely now I can push it to one side. It's as if I can hear my inner self saying to the thought go over there until your needed. It's weird because it doesn't happen all the time but it happens often enough for me to notice & think ah that feels better.
But, I also have this other voice that tries to get me to bring the thought back. Is this my Ego at work. Can this benefit I am seeing come about my my short periods of meditating or am I imagining it?
